About CMAT
All India council for Technical Education (AICTE) will conduct the Common Management
Admissions Test (CMAT) as an entrance test for admission to 4,000 colleges
that offer MBA and 500 colleges which run postgraduate diploma in management
programs.
CMAT 2013-14 Notification (First Test)
CMAT Form Availability, Registration and Important dates:
The test is scheduled to be conducted within a 5 day test window starting from:
27th September 2012 and ending on 1st October 2012 in 64 cities.
The candidates will have option of selecting date and city for appearing in the
test.
Registration
• Online from 03 August 2012 to 07 September 2012 on website www.aicte-cmat.in
• Selection up-to 3 cities giving order of preference.
• First come first served; actual allotment subject to availability of the slots
in a particular city.
Test Fee
Fee is same as that in Feb 2012
General/OBC: Rs.1200 + Bank charges as applicable
SC/ST/PD: Rs.600 + Bank charges as applicable
Note: Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstance.
Mode of Payment
Net Banking / Credit / Debit Card : Online through www.aicte-cmat.in
Cash : Payment Through challan generated online and Cash deposited in any
branch of State Bank of India.

Registration window opens on: 3.8.2012
Last Date for Online Registration: 02.09.2012
Print out of Hall ticket From 15.09.2012
Computer based test dates: 27.09.2012 to 01.10.2012
Test Timings: 9.30 am - 12.30 pm; 2.30 pm - 5.30 pm
Declaration of result: 17.10.2012
Print out of Score Cards From 17.10.2012 to 17.11.2012

Structure-Pattern of the CMAT

Expected Duration of the CMAT : 3 hours (180 minutes).
Expected Time per section in CMAT : 45 minutes.
Marking Scheme for CMAT : 4 marks per correct answer. Incorrect answers will
carry a penalty of 1 mark.
